Civic Duties
๐ง For AdultsRights and duties are two sides of the same coin
Every Indian citizen enjoys rights under the Constitution. Those rights come with corresponding duties. Ignoring your duties while demanding your rights is not citizenship.
๐ณ๏ธ Voting & Democracy
Register to vote and actually vote on election day
Why: If good people don't vote, bad leaders get elected by default.
Research candidates before voting โ not just party
Why: Voting without knowing your candidate rewards incompetence and corruption.
Reject candidates with criminal charges โ India has 46% MPs with criminal cases
Why: This changes only when voters stop electing them.
Refuse money or gifts for your vote
Why: Accepting a bribe for your vote sells your city's future for one day's grocery.
Don't sell your vote
Why: A corrupt leader takes far more from you in 5 years than they paid you on polling day.
Don't spread fake information about candidates
Why: Electoral disinformation is a criminal offence under Indian law.
Don't threaten others about their voting choice
Why: Every citizen has the right to a secret ballot.
Remember
"In a democracy, you get the leaders you deserve. Vote like your life depends on it."
